Annual Giving Campaign

We are thrilled to be approaching our 10th Reunion and to launch this year’s special Annual Giving campaign. Annual Giving matters every year, but reaching a milestone reunion creates a natural moment to reflect on the Princeton experience that shaped us and to unite as the Class of 2016 in furthering the experience of the next generation of Princeton students.

What is annual giving?

Annual Giving represents gifts from undergraduate and graduate alumni, parents, and friends that help provide the “margin of excellence” behind a Princeton education and experience. Separate from the endowment, these are unrestricted funds that provide flexibility to support Princeton’s highest priorities. Annual Giving helps fund financial aid, enrich academic programs, recruit outstanding faculty, and overall enhance the student experience beyond the classroom.

Annual Giving is a long-standing Princeton tradition, one where alumni pay forward the opportunities they received so that current and future students can benefit in turn. While everyone has personal reasons for giving, there is a shared commitment to Princeton’s excellence and a shared understanding that when many contribute together, the combined generosity has an impact that no single donor could achieve alone.

Our 10th Reunion Goals

For our 10th Reunion year, we’re aiming to achieve 50% participation and $352,016 raised. Hitting (or exceeding) these goals would be an incredible class accomplishment for our 10th.

While these are big numbers, they are absolutely within reach when we show up together. A few fun stats to cheer us on:

  • Our all-time participation high was 63% (1st Reunion) from 843 classmates.

  • Recent 10th Reunion records:

    • Recent Participation record: Class of 2007 at 70.6%

    • All-Time Participation record: Class of 1964 at 80.9%

    • All-Time Dollar record: Class of 2009 with $594,109

  • Since graduation, 65.8% of our gifts have been class numeral gifts of $20.16, which really add up!

Every gift moves us closer. With all of us contributing in the ways we can, this can be our strongest campaign yet.

As of Dec. 1, 2025, we stand at 11.7% participation from 154 classmates.

Participation & Special Gifts: What Makes a 10th Reunion Year Different

Annual Giving is built on the idea that when we all participate, our collective impact grows. Participation Gifts, in any amount, reflect the strength, pride, and commitment of our class. They’re the foundation of every successful campaign, and strong participation is especially meaningful in a major reunion year.

For a 10th Reunion campaign, Special Gifts of $1,000 or more highlight the leadership and generosity of classmates who give at this level. These contributions help enhance our class’s overall impact during a major reunion year.

Through strong class participation and leadership support, major reunion classes play a key role in setting the tone for the broader Annual Giving campaign. Records set during these milestone campaigns inspire future classes to reach even higher and strengthen the cycle of alumni support.
